It seems like we are constantly getting Olympic sites which is quote neat. This is another such site, Lake Placid. Lake Placid is the site of the famous "Miracle on Ice" hockey game between the US and Soviet Union where the US Hockey team was a big underdog and managed to defeat the Soviet team for a spot in the gold medal game. This was a big moment in US history because of the cold war and tensinos between the US and Soviet during the game, which took place in 1980.
